The design is inspired by the crown of Queen Nefertiti, wife of King Amenhotep IV, Pharaoh of the Eighteenth Dynasty, and she was considered one of the most powerful women in ancient Egypt.
The wings inspired by the bird Horus was considered a symbol of good and Justice.
